Working in Ireland

Ireland is the largest software export of your World. Many companies have also because of the low taxes and the relative proximity to the continent not only its European headquarters, but also your customer service and call center facilities in Dublin and Ireland. Mention may be made only Intel, Microsoft, Yahoo, Oracle, HP ... Also in the catering trade (ie pubs) jobs are easy to find.

Wages in Ireland mostly fall somewhat lower than in Germany, these are the rates in low-income earners not very high.

Does Orange Juice Produce Flem

car and driving in Dublin

Links ride is no problem, the driver sits in Ireland and on the continent, the middle of the road. Expected from the direction of the traffic comes, takes a little getting used to. The pedals, levers for turn signals, speedometer? everything (from the other driver's side apart) at its usual place. Only the gear lever is on the left instead of right. A car with automatic transmission is therefore worth considering.

Most major car rental companies are available in Dublin at the airport. Avis, Hertz, Budget, Europcar and the rest of them. Most car rental companies have also in Dublin City and other places in Ireland bike stations. The car can also (but often an additional charge) and one-way hire.

Dublin Caste

Dublin Castle, the castle was built in the Middle Ages, has since been expanded and renovated. Thus, the fortress became more and more to the castle. The visit to the State Apartments is worthwhile - especially the throne room and the ballroom St. Patrick's Hall, in Queen Victoria in 1897 its 60th and celebrated in the 1998 part of the Northern Ireland peace talks were held.

Dalkey

Dalkey, about 20 minutes on the DART (train) away from Dublin City, is one of the most desirable residential locations in Dublin. And Dalkey is ideal for excursions: The nice Coli More Harbour, a super nice bay, Dalkey Iceland ... a walk on the coast towards Killiney Beach is worth

if you step on the Dalkey Hill, you have stunning views over Dublin Bay, the beach at Killiney and Dun Laghoire.

worth much more after running it up to go downtown Dalkey in the pub / restaurant Queens. A delicious Indian, a good Thai in the same street (Castle Street) to find. Absolutely none in Dublin / Environment: Ragazzi's Italian restaurant.

River: The Liffey

The river separates the poorer north and the wealthier south of Dublin. Since real estate prices skyrocketed, especially in inner city areas in the height, it is also in the north (straight to the center, as in Smith Field) of new, fancier and more expensive.

The shore of the river has long been neglected - that is changing. In recent years, on the banks of the Liffey built new wooden promenade, where you can sit nice, new bridges were added (such as the Millennium Bridge or the Joyce Bridge), the financial district International Financial Services Centre (IFSC), with its high glass palaces was built.

along the Liffey is lined with attractions.

The Custom House was built by the British in 1791 as the main customs office on the banks of the Liffey. It is probably the most magnificent building in Dublin. 1921 devastated the Custom House was a fire in the confusion of the Irish struggle for independence, but now it is again reconstructed.

At the end of O'Connell Street, the main north-south route through downtown, the O? Connel Bridge. It is the only bridge in Europe which is wider than long.

The Ha? Penny Bridge is pretty much the most famous building in Dublin. Formerly known had half a penny Tolls for crossing the river to be paid, which gave its name to the pedestrian bridge.

were imprisoned here.

in 1924 closed the prison in Dublin, and fell into disrepair. Republican veterans it opened in 1960 in Initiative back from the building and made a museum.

in Irish history makes this home so attractive for visitors. It is the rare occasion a well-preserved prison visit, which is not in use:) Also for this reason have been here for many films (eg: In the Name of the Father) or music videos (who else should as U2 is the early 80 been his ...?!)

The Grand Canal

The Royal Canal and the Grand Canal were as over 200 years of transport routes built in an oval around Dublin. The Grand Canal runs like a small green strip through Dublin and limited more or less the southern city. Easy to walk along.

The trail along the Grand Canal is over 250 km long and stretches from Dublin to the River Shannon. Along the channel so it can be walking fine. Pub-Tip: The Barge: As soon as the weather permits, you can sit in front of the barge on the bank on the lawn, sipping a fresh draft beer.

pint in the Barge on the Grand Canal

The Irish poet Patrick Kavanagh sits day and night on his bench at the Grand Canal - the one of his favorite places in Dublin was. Who sits next to Patrick caution: do not go for the hat:)

The Kavanagh

At the end of the Grand Canal, the Grand Canal Docks accommodate the memory in the Tower Design Centre 35 craft producers. U2 also have their Rehearsal Studios here - near the site of the new "U2 Tower." There
