Dublin Castle, the castle was built in the Middle Ages, has since been expanded and renovated. Thus, the fortress became more and more to the castle. The visit to the State Apartments is worthwhile - especially the throne room and the ballroom St. Patrick's Hall, in Queen Victoria in 1897 its 60th and celebrated in the 1998 part of the Northern Ireland peace talks were held.
